Mr. Vinkler graduated in 1987 in the top 10% of his class at DePaul Law School. He then worked for insurance defense firms for nine years during which time he obtained an additional degree of a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), similar to a Masters Degree in insurance. In 1996 he opened his own personal injury practice.
After years of working for the insurance industry, it was easy to turn his knowledge and energy to good use - to help injured people. Too many times Mr. Vinkler saw injured people lose out from an insurance company’s games, or just because the injured person did not have the advantage of a good, aggressive lawyer. He decided he could do more good in working for injured people than he could by working against them for an insurance company. Since 1996, Mr. Vinkler has distinguished himself by his verdicts and settlements. He recently settled a case for $6,000,000 during the trial for the family of a man who died of a serious skin disease after being neglected by his physicians and the hospital. This settlement was rewarding as it helped the widow and their four daughters to pick up their lives. He has worked in the legal community to give back and is actively involved in those organizations of which he is a member.
