Do I have a case?
Every case requires an investigation into the facts before filing suit. In even the simplest cases, a thorough investigation is required. We typically arrive at our decision whether to take on a case within days of completing our investigation. In more complex cases, further investigation is often required. For example, in a medical malpractice case, the pertinent medical records must first be obtained, collated and paginated, and then forwarded to a physician to be reviewed. In Illinois, the law requires a physician to sign a report, or "Certificate of Merit", indicating that there is a medical basis to pursue a claim of malpractice. Vinkler Law Offices employs a nurse to review medical records and prepare them for the expert physician to review. Once we get back a positive report from our expert, we immediately file suit and move forward with the new case.

How long will my case take?
Vinkler Law Offices is a trial firm, we file suit as soon as possible on all our cases. The goal of Vinkler Law Offices is to obtain the most reasonable and fair compensation for our clients as quickly as possible. We do this by forcing the insurance companies to go to trial and settle with us.

How much will my case cost?
Each case requires the medical records to be obtained by the client. Once we have the records, the records will be reviewed by a health care professional in the area required. The initial costs are borne by the prospective client. If we decide to pursue the case, all future costs; including filing fees, depositions, expert fees, etc. come out of the recovery at the end. The attorneys fees are contingent on recovery. If there is no recovery there is no fee.
